You ask your AI assistant to move Thursday's meeting. Its calendar connection can only create and list, two or three tools. So it improvises, and you end up with two meetings in the calendar.
What I built
27 tools instead of two or three
I built dav-mcp, an MCP server with 27 tools for calendars, contacts and tasks. It speaks CalDAV and CardDAV, whether Google, Apple or Nextcloud sits behind them. With it the agent can search, edit, delete and find free time. It runs locally in Claude and Cursor, and over HTTP in n8n.
